I Love Salsa Latin Music Festival

The I Love Salsa Latin Music Festival was founded in 2006 by Ysmael, a passionate promoter of Latin music and dance, in Tampa, Florida. The event was born out of a desire to celebrate the vibrant culture of Latin music and provide a platform for local artists and DJs to showcase their talents. The inaugural event took place at Storman's, a popular nightclub known for its lively atmosphere and dedication to Latin nights, attracting a crowd eager to dance and enjoy the rhythms of salsa, bachata, and merengue.

Over the years, the festival evolved significantly, transitioning from a local gathering to a well-recognized event in the Tampa Bay area. The format of the festival expanded to include various themed nights, such as Salsa World Wednesdays, which became a staple for Latin music lovers. The venue also changed over time, with events hosted at notable locations like The Ritz in Ybor City and Avalon Event Center, accommodating larger crowds and enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Notable editions of the festival featured performances by renowned artists such as Jerry Rivera and Hector Tricoche, who brought their electrifying music to the stage, captivating audiences with their live performances. The 2nd Anniversary Party of Salsa World Wednesdays in 2018 was a significant milestone, celebrating the event's growth and popularity with a lineup that included local favorites and DJs, ensuring a night filled with dancing and celebration.

Despite facing challenges, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which temporarily halted many live events, the festival adapted by hosting virtual gatherings and smaller, socially distanced events.
